Advanced Disease State management training

Healing Our Village, Inc has developed advance training curriculum in the areas of

  • Diabetes
  • Congestive Heart Failure
  • Coronary Heart Disease
  • Hypertension
  • Asthma
  • Breast, Prostate and Colon Cancer
  • HIV/AIDS

The disease management training program is provided either as a “live” presentation or via the internet. The program is structured to use a case based format. Interactive keypad technology and /or post-test questions are utilized to provide immediate feedback to participants.
The case-based curriculum is focused on:

  • pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamics considerations in medication therapy selections
  • issues in medication compliance
  • socioeconomic and cultural considerations that affect medication usage
  • effective communication skills to enhance patient education and compliance

A comprehensive syllabus will be provided that includes 8 hours of pre-program study materials. 

Continuing Education Credits available: ACPE, Category 1 AMA PRA credits, AACN, CCM.
